Sydney Sixers vs Sydney Thunders | Sydney Thunders Preview
They are the worst faring side in the Big Bash League since its inception as they finished last in the first three years and penultimate on the points table last year. The 40 years old Australian veteran, Michael Hussey, is appointed as to captain the side this time with the hope to change its fortune. In a bid to turnaround their misfortunes they have grabbed on to some valuable players this year with Shane Watson, Clint McKay and the big hitting West Indian all rounder, Andre Russell, in the squad. With the sides in the BBL05 limited to include two foreign players in the XI, they are likely to go with both the foreign all rounders, Jacque Kallis and Andre Russell.
Aiden Blizzard, who was highest scorer for them last year, will be trusted with the role in middle order while in the absence of Usman Khwaja the two 40 year olds, Michael Hussey and Jacque Kallis, should open. Their squad this time around have certainly covered most of the aspects.
Sydney Thunders Players:

Sydney Sixers vs Sydney Thunders 1st Match Prediction & Odds
Sydney Sixers is 1.72 to win the match and the odds are probably a reflection of how bad Thunders have been in the previous seasons. Thunders have a better squad than the previous year but it will not be easy for the likes of Hussey, Kallis and Russell to come in and start performing. As these are their main players we will be backing Sixers to win at 1.72.
