CPL 2015 10th Match Preview
Game 10 of the tournament is scheduled today which will be played between the two top sides of CPL 2015. Barbados Tridents sits at the first place in the points table whereas the St Lucia Zouks is comfortably residing on the second spot. Both the teams have shown brillinat performances, with both bat as well as with the ball.
BT have won 3 out of their four games so far. All the three games saw a convincing win except the one against St Kitts and Nevis Patriots where they fall short of just one run. They have been tough so far in the competition and haven’t allowed the oppposition to take control of the proceedings at any point of time. Batsmen have stepped up in every single game to take them over the line. Their captain, Kieron Pollard has been superb for them in this year’s CPL. Despite the loss against SNP in the previous game, he was named the Man of the Match for his great innings of 82 runs in just 58 balls. He murdered the bowling unit with 4 fours and 5 massive sixes. He has displayed his all round skills in the recent matches and contributed with bat as well as with the ball to help his side to rise on every occasion. The openers have provided the platform for the middle order batsmen to play calm cricket throughout the remaining overs which have helped the team to stand high.
Their bowling front has been impressive so far with the likes of Ravi Rampaul, Rayad Emrit, Robin Peterson, Jason Holder and Jeevan Mendis. Pick of the bowler for them is Robin Peterson who has left the opposition batsmen puzzled with his left arm orthodox and speed variations. Expecting them to rise once again today against the quality side of St Lucia Zouks.
Talking about St Lucia Zouks, they also had a good run so far with 2 wins under their belt. They registered their first win against the Patriots by 7 wickets while the other win was not so convincing as this one but they managed to add those 2 points in the tally. Their second win was against Guyana Amazon Warriors by 2 runs. But, their last outting wasn’t a good one against Jamaica Tallawahs which was blown away by the Gayle storm. They lost the game in 10 overs by 10 wickets. No batsmen could step up on that day resulting in the first innings total of just 118 runs. Bowlers couldn’t contain the opening blistering pair of Jamaica and lost the game in 10 overs. They’ll be expecting a good show from their star players today as the side comprises of some international greats including Ross Taylor, Kevin Pieterson, Darren Sammy, Kemar Roach, Fidel Edwards. It would be a tough task to beat Barbados Tridents on a pitch which favours batsmen and the BT batsmen are in sublime form.
Let’s see how the competition goes and who steps up. But, definitely a good contest is expected as the two top teams of the tournament would face off today at Warner Park.

Pitch Report for CPL 2015 match 10
The match is to be played at Warner Park, Basseterre, St Kitts. It will be the second game of CPL 2015 at this venue. The first game here was chased by Jamaica Tallawahs with 5 balls remaining. It’s a good pitch to bat on and doesn’t really change much. Captains like chasing here and the stats say the same story too.
