  1. Virat Kohli is the only Indian batsman to hit an ODI century against Pakistan in an ICC event. Kohli had scored 107 runs against Pakistan at Adelaide in 2015 ICC Cricket World Cup (on 15th February 2015).

On the other hand, two Pakistani batsmen have hit ODI centuries against India in an ICC event. Apart from Shoaib Malik’s 128 in ICC Champions Trophy, Saeed Anwar had scored 101 runs against India at Centurion in 2003 ICC Cricket World Cup (on 1st March 2003).

  1. In the ODI match between India and Pakistan in an ICC event, 76 is the highest individual score by a skipper. Pakistan skipper Misbah-ul-Haq had scored that runs at Adelaide in 2015 ICC Cricket World Cup (on 15th February 2015). As an Indian captain, 59 is the highest score in this category which was played by Mohammad Azharuddin at Manchester in 1999 ICC Cricket World Cup (on 8th June 1999).
  1. Venkatesh Prasad is the only Indian bowler to pick 5-wicket haul against Pakistan in an ICC ODI event. It was in 1999 ICC Cricket World Cup, where the Indian right-arm pacer had delivered an impressive figure of 9.3-2-27-5 (at Manchester on 8th June 1999).

Meanwhile, two Pakistani bowlers have claimed five-wicket haul against India in an ICC ODI event. They are Wahab Riaz in 2011 ICC Cricket World Cup (10-0-46-5 at Mohali on 30th March 2011) and Sohail Khan in 2015 ICC Cricket World Cup (10-0-55-5 at Adelaide on 15th February 2015).

If Virat Kohli hits a century in the upcoming match against Pakistan at Edgbaston (Birmingham), he will become the joint most no. of ODI century scorer in the ODI clashes between India and Pakistan at the neutral venues. Virat already has hit two ODI centuries against Pakistan in the neutral venues (183 at Dhaka on 18th March 2012 and 107 at Adelaide on 15th February 2015).

At present, Saeed Anwar (Pakistan) is the only batsman who had hit three centuries in the ODI clashes between India and Pakistan at the neutral venues.

  1. India has never batted for full 50-over against Pakistan in the ICC Champions Trophy. India’s highest overs spent in batting against Pakistan in the ICC Champions Trophy history was 49.5 overs during 2004 ICC Champions Trophy (at Birmingham on 19th September 2004).
  1. In the ICC Champions Trophy history, Pakistan has a horrific record of first batting. Pakistan has got first batting for eight times in the ICC Champions Trophy, out of which they have won only once and suffered defeats in other seven games.

The only game Pakistan have won after batting first in the ICC Champions Trophy history was against India at Centurion on 26th September 2009. Pakistan had won that match by 54 runs.
