Its the double header weekday and the first match is between Sunrisers Hyderabad and Kolkata Knight Riders. Both the teams has had a contrasting tournament till now with SRH lingering at the fifth position on the points table (three losses in the four games played).

KKR on the other hand are continuing their form having retained most part of their squad and are at third place on the points table with three wins of the four matches played. They have been the team of the tournament so far though they have lost on game.

Sunrisers Hyderabad, despite overhauling the squad from last year, has not been able to rectify last year’s problem of being top heavy. Having brought in array of English players, who are not comfortable on slow pitches, they have not been able to finish the games for them.

Though Ravi Bopara played well in the last match but could not complete the match for his team. Though lower order showed some girth and brought down the equation to 10 off the last over against Delhi Daredevils but, as is their story, could not complete the game.

They give an impression of being top heavy as the team crumbles once the openers get out. Lone win for them came when both their openers, David Warner and Shikhar Dhawan, scored heavily. Replacing Kane Williamson with Eoin Morgan has not reaped dividends either as he has not looked comfortable in these conditions. Naman Ojha, who was a prolific scorer for them last season, has not been in the best of forms either. Another Indian youngster, KL Rahul, has impressed but some not able to score beyond 20s and 30s.

Dale Steyn was brought into the side for Trent Boult in the last game and bowled decently picking up one wicket giving away 27 runs. Apart from that Bhuvaneshwar Kumar was phenomenal for them at the death. However, Praveen Kumar was expensive as was Karn Sharma and Ravi Bopara.

Kolkata Knight Riders has been a stronger team compared to the last season which is reflected in the way they have won their matches. Last match against Delhi Daredevils they performed exceedingly in bowing as well as batting.

On a good batting pitch they restricted Delhi DareDevils to a score of 146 runs and then chased without any hustles and dramas. Captain, Gautam Gambhir, has been in good form stroking three half centuries in the four matches he has played. Yusuf Pathan’s mature play has added another dimension to this team’s batting. Boasting a line up where Andre Russell bats at number 7 they have a strong batting presence.

Bowling has always been their forte with the likes of Sunil Narine, Morne Morkel and Piyush Chawla. Chawla’s form was a bit of concern for them as he was wicketless in the three matches but managed to pick up two wickets.

Their pace bowling too has been impressive. Umesh Yadav, after being dropped in KKR’s second game, came back to bowl with vigor as he produced a Man of the Match performance against the DD. He took two wickets giving away 18 runs in the 4 overs. That two of those four overs were bowled in the death overs makes the performance even more special.

Team News KKR vs SRH:

Sunrisers Hyderabad might consider bringing back Kane Williamson into the line up after Eoin Morgan has failed to impress. Karn Sharma has failed to impress and Parvez Rasool may replace him.

KKR has the perfect team balance and they would not like to change that. They are expected tofield the same XI.

The Pitch for KKR vs SRH

Match is to be played at Vishakhapatnam where the pitch has not been the best to bat on. It has been slow and at times been low as well. Spinners have been effective here. KKR vs SRH Odds and Prediction

Kolkata Knight Riders is 1.67 to win the match and with the team they have and the form they are in it is hard not to back them against not so strong looking Sunrisers Hyderabad. We are backing KKR to win on a pitch which will be more suited to their kind of play.
