IPL Prediction for KXIP vs RCB Match
Batting Heavy Sides Face Each Other
Match No 50: KXIP v RCB
Date and Venue: 13th May 2015, Mohali
Head to Head: Played 13 KXIP 8 RCB 5
These two faced each other at Bangalore it was a complete maul over for KXIP as they conceded 226 runs bowling first and after that were bowled out for a mere 88 runs. Chris Gayle (117 off 57 balls) and AB Devilliers (47 off 24 balls) orchestrated a match winning score. In the bowling line up it was again Mitchell Starc who cleaned up the line up with his figures of 4-0-15-4. Kings XI Punjab’s batting and bowling is not worth discussing as has been the whole tournament.
KXIP’s last match was against Sunrisers Hyderabad and despite of a poor start with the ball KXIP restricted them to 185 as at one point they were threatening to cross 200. In batting they had a good start as both the openers were steady and quick in their scoring. But after they went it was downfall for the KXIP in the middle as none of the middle order batsmen were able to get going. Just when everyone thought it will be another easy loss for KXIP in came David Miller who just blew their bowling attack. In the end they were just 6 runs shy of the target.
An innings of 89 off 44 balls included shots off every bowler as he plundered nine sixes in his innings. Requiring 28 runs off the last over he started off with two sixes but the equation was always against him.
In the bowling every bowler went above eight an over as Sandeep Sharma and Anureet Singh were unable to price out a wicket at the top. Beuran Hendericks went for 40 in his four but also took two important wickets.
Royal Challengers Bangalore has peaked at the right time and their key batsmen are scoring runs for them. It was Virat Kohli and AB Devilliers against Mumbai Indians who played a match winning innings. De Villiers scored a century as he piled on the agony for Mumbai Indians. In his innings of 133 off 59 balls he hit 19 fours and 4 sixes. As always it was treat to watch the perfectionist at wirk.
The pitch at Mumbai’s Wankhede was wonderful to bat on as even Mitchell Starc struggled to contain the batsmen. He went for 41 runs in the four overs he bowled picking up one wicket. Sreenath Arvind has been impressive since he has made his comeback for RCB. On a batting wicket he gave away just 29 runs in the four overs he bowled.
