2nd ODI Cricket Match Prediction 2015

South Africa vs New Zealand 2nd ODI Preview

South Africa won the first ODI of the series but not with the ease which the odds 1.40 suggested before the start of the match. In fact at one stage they were looking as if they will be short of the good score after a mammoth second wicket partnership between Amla and Roussouw.

Hashim Amla came into his own after a lean patch in the ODIs and ended with 124 runs and bagged the Man of the Match award. His innings included 13 fours and 3 sixes while his partner, RIlee Roussouw, ended eleven short of 100 as he managed to give good support to Amla.

While the batsmen posted a good score on a slow track the bowlers struggled as the game went on. The pitch became better for batting as Jimmy Neesham and Colin Munro almost scurried NZ past the line.

New Zealand on the other hand was good in the first 25 overs of the first innings but as the partnership grew they began to score relatively quick. In the end they were good enough to be 20 runs short of the target.

Adam Milne for New Zealand, as expected, managed to get the reverse swing going on an abrasive surface and as a result managed to price out two wickets, both of the set batsmen Roussouw and Amla but McCleneghan was expensive though he too picked up two wickets.
