South Africa vs New Zealand 2015
3rd ODI Cricket Match Prediction 2015
South Africa vs New Zealand 3rd ODI Preview
The three match ODI series is nicely poised at 1-1 after valiant New Zealand put up an impressive performance on Sunday to beat the hosts by a comprehensive eight wickets margin.
South Africa was as short as 1.30 before the start of the match and the market was not ready to give up on them that easily. It was only after the fall of AB De Villiers that market completely abandoned the hosts on a pitch which, apparently, was slow and assisted the spinners.
Hosts lacked in intensity since the start of the ODI series which was mentioned admitted by the team themselves. New Zealand almost pulled off a win the first ODI but lost too many wickets without a substantial contribution by the middle order. Eventually, they fell short by 20runs.
In the second ODI it was near perfect performance by the visitors, who are sans their key players. After reducing SA to a total of 204 and got to the total without any fuss. Martin Guptill, man of the match for the game, scored a ton to ensure a smooth win for his team.
South Africa’s batting was uninterested to say the least as the batsmen got out playing too casually at times on a pitch which was not that bad for batting. In fact it became easy to score for batsmen who were set as demonstrated by Farhan Behardien, Tom Latham and Martin Guptill.
Adam Milne was once again impressive taking two wickets giving away just 39 runs in the ten overs he bowled. Doug Bracewell was the highest wicket taker for them as he took three wickets and bowled it slow on a surface which demanded him to bowl slow.
